I looked 'high and low' in QuickBooks Online Help to see if there had been any alteration of this requirement since January 14 and found nothing. As most of you know 'Windows 7' was dropped from Microsoft Windows support on the 14th of this month (January, 2020) and in fact Intuit announced that they would no longer support Intuit products running under Windows 7 as of that date. It seems hard to believe but at the time of publication the QBO website does in fact advise that to use the 'Download to QuickBooks Desktop from QBO' option you must still be using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11 (32-bit) or earlier. Recently, Murph wrote about the three Backup apps, here is a link to his article if you want to read more. You will find these backup and data export apps at the Intuit QuickBooks Apps Center. There are also apps to bulk export your QBO data including CDATA for QBO and QXL for QBO just to name a couple. There are several actual QuickBooks Online backup options (Backup Circle, Rewind, and SafetyNet) currently available in the App Center.
